About Paul Lakata
Paul Lakata is an Adirondack rustic artist with a BFA degree from Goddard College, Vermont. Currently, he owns and operates a sign and graphic design business in Johnstown, N.Y. which has been in business for 26 years.
Paul has been creating artwork since he was a child, painting his first commissioned mural at the age of twelve. His paintings and murals are found in private collections throughout the country as well as the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Wax Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y. and the Lake Placid Lodge.
Living and loving the Adirondacks for twenty five years has lead Paul to the unique Adirondack rustic style which has been the focus of his work during that time. Paul creates each rustic frame and painting to work together as one. From Paul's antique like sepia tone paintings to his lush full color renderings, he is constantly searching for and finding new innovative ways to express his own personal rustic style.
